Google on Brink of Testing New Technology to Boost Super High-Speed Wireless Service
( digital marketing agency, restartbox.com)- Internationally renowned Google Inc. is set to test new innovation that could well form the basis of its ultra-fast wireless service broadcasting to homes, obviating the need for either an actual ground cable or fiber connection.
On Monday, Google allegedly asked U.S. Federal Communications Commission for permission to conduct tests in California across various wireless spectrums.
According to experts, should Google’s plan prove successful, the move would surely offer a quicker and cheaper way to deliver high-speed Internet service.
“From a radio standpoint it’s the closest thing to fiber there is. You could look at it as a possible wireless extension of their Google Fibre wireless network, as a way to more economically serve homes. Put up a pole in a neighborhood, instead of having to run fibre to each home,” said Stephen Crowley, a wireless engineer and consultant.
